Wow. This is my first car, my first insurance company so I didn't know what to expect but you hear so many horror stories about insurance! So I was REALLY sad when I got a small but obvious chip in my windshield the other day from a big huge trucking company truck - I was also really mad but what can you do? I was sure my deductible would ocme into play but when I called GEICO and told them what happened they not only paid for it to be fixed they sent the guy out to my work to fix it for me! I was SO happy, now you can hardly even tell anything happened - the chip has almost disappeared and it didn't cost me a thing. A coworker told me it's because they don't want to have to deal with a claim for replacing the whole windshield so it's cheaper for them to fix this now as it is for free before it spreads.
Whatever the logic, I'm thrilled!
