I purchased a home by a local realtor at Keller Williams Realty Everett, WA, a little over 3 years ago. His advertisement stated "Buy a home from me and receive up to $10,000 cash back." After the home purchase, he told me I was eligible for the entire $10,000 cash back, but that it would take 36 months to redeem the certificate. Okay, no problem.
Three years later, to the day, I mailed in the certificate for redemption to Cash Rewards according to their instructions (quite extensive, I might add!) and waited in anticipation for my $10,000! Yet after numerous phone calls and many months later, I was told that it was still being processed.
FOUR MONTHS later my check arrived... in the amount of only $3200. The letter from Cash Rewards accompanying the check stated that "due to the large amount of certificates received", they were mailing me a "proportional amount" of the entitlement.
WHAT? I have yet to receive an explanation, and when I call the Cash Rewards number I no longer get a human on the other end (as I had for so many months). Now the number states that you must leave a message and the call will be returned within 24 hours! It appears as though I am not the only upset client here. Cash Rewards is not what they promised! I am in tears and shocked. I was really counting on that money. I plan to fight for my full amount.
