I have been with Accushield for years! I have paid them tons of cash over this time period. The have settled a couple accounts for me. One of which they supposedly settled, I am now receiving a summons from a creditor claiming it was never settled. I sent all the paperwork to them like they told me to. Faxed them a copy of the summons. They sat on it. Did absolutely nothing! Now, after paying all this cash to them (of course they made sure they took out all their fees up front), I still have to get a lawyer, go to court, and settle this myself anyway!
I have been out of the program since May. After numerous phone calls, I still have not received any of my money they were holding. I call all the time and get the same answer, "I'll check with my supervisor, and get back to you". They don't. Every time I call, they seem to add another month on to when my check will be mailed to me. They say they have a back log. Yeah! A back log of interest being collected by them, on my money!
They will not send my any of my records either. I even have had my new lawyer send letters to try to get them and they still will not send them. So basically, I am starting back at ground zero. I anticipate I will have to file for bankruptcy anyway even after trying so hard not to.
