United Cash Loans
Getting a loan from the Chicago Mob would have been less painful. UCL: a bunch of money-sucking, double-talking sharks!

Internet buyer, beware! Never in my whole adult life have I been so swindled and mislead. I realize that unsecured loans can be costly, but what these people do to you and your account is mind boggling. I used United Cash Loans last year when I was in the midst of a divorce. I needed a little financial breathing room in order to pay for a few utilities plus keep up the rent for the month. After browsing on the net, I applied to UCL for 300 dollars.
It seemed reasonable enough when I applied: Pay back the entire loan in 4 weeks, plus 60 dollars OR if you cannot pay the entire balance at the due date, increments of 50 dollars would be subtracted from your checking account until the balance interest was paid in full. Here's the thing with these people - not very many poor folks can pay it off in 4 weeks, hence the need for a loan. They know this and they capitalize on it. The amount taken from your account starts at 50 dollars, then skyrockets to 90, then finally to 125! I am a working single mother of two young children and I survive from paycheck to paycheck. It was terrifying to see my money disappear, courtesy of UCL. It was next to impossble to find a phone number, but I managed to locate one. It did nothing but confirm my suspicions that I had been 'had'. They had so many excuses for the varying amounts - it was almost like they were making it up as they went along! They claimed "it was all in the contract that I signed" and they were well within their rights to collect the debt as they saw fit. I reviewed the contract and located nothing in regards to "varying amounts of payment".in fact, to my embarassment, it was rather vague and out of desperation, I signed it. They were incredibly rude, impatient and placed me "on hold" for prolonged periods of time. When I asked for a supervisor, I was repeatedly told that there wasn't one there or he/she was unavailable. Bottom line? A 300 dollar loan cost me 335 dollars. That's right. My little family and I are 635 dollars poorer, thanks to these crooks. On behalf of all the working poor that they have financially raped, I hope someone takes UCL down - HARD. Shame on United Cash Loans for stealing money from women and children... And shame on those who shelter them in the name of kickbacks.
