Rip-off Payment Protector Plan ripoff plan started charged without my okay

I received an ad in snail mail telling me that their Payment Protection had been started on my account. I called to cancel - and told them to never ask me about this again - especially since I had NEVER asked for it. How can they start charging my account for something I NEVER agreed to.

This is NOT right!
