On July 28 I was contacted via email about a loan application that I had filled out on line. They told me I was approved for $6000.00. All I had to do was a agree to insure the loan by two options, option A send them $751.00 or option B $700.00 for insurance at a rate of 9.5%. All together I was due to pay back $7,210.56 over 4 years. Sounds great right?
I called the number 1-888-832-5765 ext 233 and spoke to David Allen. (Not the most customer friendly). He went through great detail about the two options. While I had Mr. Allen on the phone I called my husband on my cell phone so that I could tell him the information Mr. Allen was giving me.
After all was explain I told him I understood the terms and conditions. He then explained that I had to send the ($751.00) by money gram and asked me when I could complete the transaction. I told him Thursday July 31. He then told me that I had to contact him first so that he could give me more information. He also explained that he would email me the contract in which I had to fax it back signed along with two forms of I.D. When I received the comtract I signed all the dotted lines and faxed a copy of my driver's licesense and SS#. (Please don't ever do this).
Still feeling uneasy I decided to check further into this business. Before I signed anything I checked with BBB. Nothing came up. Being from NY I decided to google the address. (Google will give you a complete interactive picture of the address you put in) I could not find a physical location. I could find 27 and 35, but not 31. Hum.
I them decided to look up scam reports and low and behold here was Rip Off! Under the guide of another name I saw the same pattern and same contract that I was sent. People was screaming Be Ware!!! Don't do!!! I would like to thank all of those people connected with Freedom Financial Co. Scam for warning me before I sent off my money!
Although I have not been "qoute" scammed, I am just happy that it didn't take me to loose all that I had to find out. I just wish I had done this before I sent them my personal information. I now have to flag my credit report and pray that David Allen, Angela Shelton, and Charles Fraizer do not use my information to steal my idenity.
