In 2006 a company charged my card a lot of money and they were not authorized to do so. I called Capital One they told me it is up to the company to take off their charges. They would not do so. So I contacted Capital One 3-4 times to handle this matter. (by the way: my credit limit was 500 dollars and they let someone charge 1200 dollars on my card) Finally they saw it my way and took the fraud charges off. They said they would be mailing me my new credit card and some papers about the fraud to fill out and be sent back.
One month went by... Two months went by... I called them... GUESS what I couldn't talk to them because you have to have your credit card number to even speak with a rep. Remeber they changed it... I had No idea what my new number was nor my old one because I cut up my old credit card and threw it away...
More months went by. I never heard anything... I moved out of state...
Well recently I moved back to the state where I recieved the credit card. I have only been here a month. One morning the door bell rang and there was a dep. Sherrif on my door step with a court summons for me to go to court on August 15 th.
I HATE Capitol One and I am not letting them get away with this...
They never sent me anything what so ever in the mail about anything... They never called me about the matter... Never even sent a collection notice... And now they are aloud to sue me??? What is wrong with this picture??
