How they change their internal policies to benefit the themselves Hutto

Wachovia has a history of changing their internal banking policies to benefit themselves, leaving their customers out in the cold.

A perfect example came about at the Hutto, TX branch when I was told there would be a hold on deposit. I asked for an explanation and was told that the Federal banking law had changed. When I inquired further and request a statute number and more information, I was told that none was available. I found that to be highly unusual as I am a former banker and IRS auditor and know that each and evey change has a number assigned to it. Finally, 3 days later someone from the bank called to apologize for the behavior of the Financial Center Manager and to explain that the tellers had not been trained on the new procedure yet. Why should I suffer because someone was not trained properly to do their job?

The next issue had to do with their online bill pay. I requested to have a check stopped only to be told that they could not do that as that check was a certified check. As requested more information, it was explained to me that my money was put in "their" fund to pay bills and they had decided to issue the certified check and I did not have any choice in the matter. Once again I asked why were their customers not told of the changes that had taken place in April. I was told that this change had to do with internal policy so I did not have to be notified of the change. I thought your money was still your money here in the United States.

Wachovia Bank obviously is only interested in their interests not their customers
