Ripoff

I recieved a letter in the mail stating i was approve for $5,000 and i was to send $45. I responded and sent the $45 and after doing so i decided to look it up on the internet and found that it was a rip off. Unfortunatly i sent them the money. I would like to know what i should do so no one else gets ripped off.
