Bb&t bank, atlanta, GA, USA
Bb&t bank atlanta ripoff

I left my money in Bank of the BuckHead at 3920 Piedmont Road, Atlanta, GA, USA in 1998 in a CD and Checking Account. I went overseas to India for four years.

The Bank of Buckhead became BB&T. I never received timely reporting on it, nor was I advised on the status of my CD and checking account. I had to do a lot of 'chasing', 'calling from overseas' and writing letters. Finally, I began receiving my statements.

Now, after I moved to Canada, I asked for my money to be wired from there to my Canadian account. Needless to say, I had to contact them multiple times by email, fax, letter for it. I still have not gotten a statement-of-closure nor a clear explanation of the bank paying me "interest", the "fees they charges me", nor a clear explanation on how my money never "grew" as per their promises to me!

I have sent multiple emails and letters to the Branch Head and Vice-President Ron Altman. He never responds to either one.

Below is the last email to which also they have not bothered to reply. Ron Altman says - contact the Personal Banking Assistance - Sybil Payne. Sybil Payne says - contact Diane Chambers. Diane Chambers never responds.

Could you please provide me an IMMEDIATE response to the email request below? I have not received any reply from

[email protected] norSybil. [email protected]

Is there a reason for not responding to it?

I shall look forward to a reply from you at your earliest convenience. Has the money been credited into my checking account? Do you have a (800) toll-free number / website where I can check on it on an automated-telephone-system / internet-access from overseas? What is my checking balance now that the CD has been closed, and the money transferred into my checking account? 2)

Is the dormant status removed on my checking account? Is there a fee that has been charged to me for the dormant status and it's removal? 3)

I need some funds now. Can you electronically wire transfer the money to my account, using the singed original letter and fax (of the same letter) I sent you? Do you need another letter from me?

The reason I prefer the wire is because it appears to be a safer mode of transfer, and the funds are available to me in my Canadian account sooner. 4) Thank you. Have a good evening. * — Original Message — From: mohit bali [SMTP: [email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, November 13 6:25 PM To: Payne, Sybil Subject: Re: RE: RE: RE: Fund Transfer Hello, (1) You mentioned: "YOUR ACCT IS CURRENTLY IN DORMANT STATUS." Questions: Can you remove the "dormant" status on my account? Is there anything I can do about it to have the dormant status removed? (2) You mentioned: "BANK POLICY REQUIRES CLIENTS TO SIGN WIRE REQUEST IN PERSON." Question: Can you do it with the faxed, emailed, and postal-mailed signed request? (3)

As per earlier emailed and written communication from you and Ron, my understanding has been that all you need is a signed request from me. I have postal mailed the original of the fax to you on 11 Nov. 2002. To come in person would be expensive and difficult. Questions: Alternatively, can you terminate the CD and put the money into my checking account? Will I be able to write a good check on the account to transfer monies into my account?
