I went to Instant tax service on April 151 and I ask the lady how much would it cost to prepare my taxes she told me $50.00, so I let her do my taxes. I repeatedly told her I owe the IRS and that I was not going to get a refund. When she finished with my taxes I asked her how much did I owe she told me I didnt owe anything because the IRS was taking my refund.
She stated when you owe the IRS you dont have to pay to get your taxes prepared. Also I was suppose to get a refund from the state of MO.in 6-8 weeks. I never recieved the check. After the 11th week I called the state and I was told they electronically transfered the money into Instant tax service account.
I called them and he tells me I owed $259.00 thats why they took my refund, but my refund was only $227.00. I did not recieve a letter stating I owe them or saying I owe a balance. If I would have known I cost that much I would have let my friend prepare my taxes. Futhermore i did not tell them to file rapid because i knew i wasnt getting any money back thats why he said i owe $259.00. IM STILL DISPUTING WITH THEM AND I AM NOT GIVING UP UNTIL I GET SUM OF MY REFUND BACK
