My HUD loan was sold to OCWEN in 1998 on 1999 and it has been hell ever since. Everytime we talk to OCWEN we get some new story about how much we owe or what payment is due. I called them on November 19th to make a payment and the automated answering said I was due one paymnent of $680.00 due on December lst. I verified this with the internet account information and it was the same.

I called customer service to find out if this was correct and spoke to two different people and they said that since I have a new Forebearance agreement starting in December that I was "not to make a payment in November". This agreement which was Dated 11-22 says I will be billed for late charges if I do not pay on the 1st of the month but it does not say how much the late charge will be.

On November 30th I called to make the December 1st payment which is what the telephone answering device said was due! When I talked to customers service they said I was needed to pay a November payment of almost $1000.00. My monthly payments are $680.00 not $ 1000.00 so I told them the name of the people that told me that because of the new forbearance they sent me which I have not signed yet I was not to make a payment until December 1. Then they said the reason the amount was $1000 not $680. Was because of late charges from the past. I protested this because I have not received any bills with late charges on them.

I also told them the bill I just received on November 24th shows the total I owe as of 12-1 is for $680.00 and it does not show a past due payment of $680.00 for November. I asked if the lady I spoke to on the 19th noted she told me not to make a payment in November and I was told that she only made notes "she told me what payemnt was due and how much" and nothing more. I called back and talked to someone else and that person said I had a payment due for $680. For December 1st only! I asked him if I could record him and he said yes, then he put me on hold for about 5 minutes and then came back and said he was wrong and I was due for November.

He said I would have to pay through customer services' speed pay which has a $15.00 charge and that the speed pay through the automated dialing was down. This form of payment only has a $10.00 charge. I went online and checked my account and this information showed I was due for 1 payment for December 1st. I made the payment and printed all on the payment due and account information and the proof I made a payemnt on 11-30 for 12-1.

This has been an onging problem with OCWEN everysince HUD sold them the FHA notes. I missed two payments in the year 2000 whch would have been a total of $1360.00 andy filled a forcloseure and demanded a payment of $10,000.00 to keep my home. They would never explain how they came up with the numbers for this amount. My husband had just received his wokers comp settlement for a back injury that happened in 1996 and resulted in two back surgeries leaving him disbaled. That is the only reason we did not loose our home.

I have never dealt with such a ruthless and imcompetant company other that Public Service Company of OK now IEP. They are they to rip people off!
