I applied for a loan with Freedom66Financial. I was promised $5,000 (the minimum amount). The decision, as I was told, was based on credit.in order to receive the actual loan, I was told that 4 monthly payments would need to be paid in advance to secure (sort of like an insurance policy). I was sent a loan document outlining the annual percentage rate, finance charge and month payment amount. The document also included the loan term and amount financed. I was told that once the $885 was received, the loan would be processed and deposited into my account within 24 hours. I have not received any deposits and now I can't get in touch with Russ Hardy.
While typing this report, I received a call from Frank Bernard, Russ Hardy's so called supervisor. He called to advise that my loan had been reassessed (yeah, right, over the weekend) and that an additional $885 would be needed to definately secure the loan. Does he think people are that crazy? I advised that I'm not sending anymore money and I want my money refunded. He advised that he would start the refund process which would take about a month. This is ridiculous. Do not... I repeat... Do not get involved with these people. This is a scam that takes advantage of hardworking people.
