National Association Credit Services Rip-off Bullying Hard sell Bait & Switch Scam. Thank You consumer complaints

Thank-you consumer complaints for saving me money and heartache. I too was contacted by phone by an aggressive, smooth-talking man promising to help restore my good credit and provide me a $2500.00 credit card. I'm not usually a gullible person, but this Christmas was looking a little slim and, with four children's wish lists to fill, a $2500.00 credit card seemed like an answer to my prayers.

I was hesitant at first, telling the man that I couldn't afford to be ripped off. He got huffy, telling me that he'd worked for the company for twelve years and had helped countless individuals in the same situation as I get the credit they deserved. I went so far as to tell the man that I had four small children who were counting on Christmas presents and he swore that I would have my credit card in time to provide for them. To make himself more credible, he got preachy, reminding me not to go and abuse my new card..."after all, " he said, "this is your credit future we're talking about."

So, like a fool, I gave him my bank account info and agreed to have the $200.00 debited on Dec. 1. He gave me their customer service number and transferred me to their "mailing department" where a woman taped my consent.

As soon as I got off the phone, I got on the Internet. It was a little late, but a search immediately led me to this board and, now physically shaking with anger and humiliation at what I'd just fallen for, I immediately called the customer service number the guy had provided which, surprise surprise, rang and rang until it just disconnected me.

My next call was to my bank who advised me to just close my account and never ever give out bank info again. I was able to get it done before the debit went through and, thus, avoided a rip-off. Hopefully more people will find out about these scams before they get hurt.

What kind of people can live with themselves doing this to hard-working folks struggling to raise families in blue collar America? Thank God for consumer complaints.
