My husband and I opened a loan with Option One in November because Option One made it appealing to us stating that we could get a low interest rate etc. My husband had been battling cancer (brain tumor) so he thought it would make it easier on us when he passed all the bills would be paid etc. We were never late on any of our payments EVER! When Option One found out my husband passed away in Aug. 2007 the continually harrassed me everyday calling sometimes over 10-20 times a day. I was a 75 year old widow trying to deal with a giant monster! My daughter has helped me alot! We finally had to write them and tell them that I only wanted coorespondence through mail. They still called for over 2 days after they agreed not to call me and only speak through mail. Now they have me in foreclosure and claim they never recieved my proof of payments even though they have been sent to them over 4 times. Which brings me to this I spoke with them on 05/20 and they claim they lost my Jan. Payment but I am still responsible for it even though they cashed it on Feb 02. If the didn't recieve my proof of payments then how do they know that Jan. Was sent in. On May 16/ 2008 I sent a Western Union of $1000 my payment is only 862.00 they sent it back to me on the 21 st. I then spoke with an attorney for advice and he told me to resend the payment back. I did it overnight and they accepted and cashed it they also credited my account. I sent my June payment in the same way and they cashed it and credited my account. They now say I am due for April which is a far cry from Feb. But yet they still tell me my loan is not reinstated and I am still in foreclosure. They gave me a new amount to reinstate of $3882.23 instead of the the over $5500 they wanted me to cough up the other day. These guys are monsters and a prime example of predatory lending. One gentleman I spoke to name John ID#4JND told me that I was in foreclosure bear in mind that I spoke with gentleman named Parminder and he told me the foreclosure was lifted and removed and that I would be getting a letter to that effect. I told John this and he told me"Well I guess you will find out when your house is sold out from under you on June 10th" They tell you not to send your payments because they won't accept them. Don't ever do that! That is their way of getting your home. I do not intend to go out without a fight! My husband built this home for us in 1966 and I am not going to lose it to a bunch of creeps! We need to start a class action against this horrendous company they MUST be Stopped!
