I too have had the same thing happen to me. Over the past few years, there have been three different accounts established in my name. After the first two, I canceled them but next time I ordered a credit report it showed up again. I am absolutely positive that the last time I ordered a credit report about a year ago, I made sure that I was not signing up for a monthly service. I carefully read ALL of the fine print, and a few months later, the monthly charge began showing up on my credit card report.
I called them today and was very persistent. I waited through all of the security questions, the standard scripted lines to each question and was continually put on hold and transferred. After the third or fourth person, they agreed to close the account and refund me all of my money. After that, I continued to persist, asking why they charged, asked for proof that I ordered and they could provide none of that.
When I finally got to the right person, they quickly refunded me, but could not answer any other questions. The company knows that it isn't doing something right, and it is beginning to get caught. I encourage everyone to call them and do the same thing. Number is 1-800-388-8725. Good luck!
