I found a charge on my credit card that was made on a date I was out of town. I did not authorize any credit reporting service. I had used briefly the Free Credit Report monitoring some time ago when cleaning up incorrect credit report information and canceled it after a few months... And this was not easy to do. They continued to bill after cancellation but eventually did credit the unauthorized charges. This time MNI would do nothing because they said they had no reason to remove the charge because SOMEONE ordered it but they had no current information on me. Free Credit Report pretty much did the same thing. The charge is now in dispute with my credit card company and I had to close my card and open a new one to avoid future charges.
