Horrid Service and Entrapping overdraft fees! Beware!

Have had 2 major problems with BoA

1. They claim to have overdraft protection, but when you sign up for it, they dont activate it to that account til YOU say so, which is usually after the overdraft has occured.
(Signed up for student credit card as insurance to my checking account for overdraft fees, but when the fees came, they told me i had to "activate" the credit
card for use in overdrafting, which was the only reason i had gotten it in the first place!)

2. Still waiting to order a replacment debit card.
(2 weeks ago, i go into the local bank of america, looking to order a new atm card. Sounds simple enough, right?) I am told by the greeter, or host? And was told the teller could take care of my predicament no problem, assuming its taken care of, i leave expecting a new card shortly.

2 weeks pass, still no card, going to the bank every day quickly becomes an annoyance, and i inquire to the teller about my atm card. I am NOW told, she doesnt have the ability to do such, and tells me to call customer service.

So i get in my car, and dial the customer service number on the back of my BoA credit card. After about 10 minutes of machine and being on hold, an operator answers, but to no avail its the credit department, and i have to get transferred to the checking/savings dept... After another 10 minutes, someone else gets on the phone. She asks me for my "secret word"? I am truly puzzled. I made this account 5 years ago, and now they expect me to remember a "secret word"? At this i reply, "Isn't it a security question?", "No" she replies, its just a word you used when you opened the account... So after another barrage of the same questions ive had to answer for the past 20 minutes, she tells me my secret word was my mother maiden name... Which i would have easily have gotten... If she asked me " what my mothers maiden name was"!!!

So at this point i have some hope that something might actually be done, but another disapointment. OUT of NOWHERE an automated machine gets played saying " Where Sorry for the inconvience... Blah blah... We cannot proccess... Blahh blah... Please try again later"

If an establishment like this cannot perform the most trivial, menial tasks, how can u expect it to hold thousands, or millions of your dolllars?!?

This ordeal has cost me hundreds of dollars not only in cash but gas, time, and effort. Be wary of this Banking company!!
