We are complaining because of high interest rates and late fees charged by HRS USA. THey were charging 6% because we were going thru a consumer credit agency which was sending the payments for us. They claimed we were 60 days late, which we weren't.
Only 30 days almost 60, but never 60. They raised interest rate to 20-21 percent. WIth help from the consumer credit agency, they lowered to 9 percent - and wouldn't give us back the 6% rate anymore.
THen, when we dropped the Consumer Credit Agency and wanted to pay on our own, they started charging 19.80 percent and have continued to do so for about 9 months now.
They also do not have a grace period for getting payments in. Several occasions, electronic payments have come in to them. I even had my bank contact HRS for me to explain to them, that Bank of AMerica and Hrs have an agreementfor Hrs to accept electronic payments.
THe representatives are ignorant and rude. They are not trained very well at all on customer service. Everytime a new rep gets on the phone, I get a different story. They are not consistent with their rules and regulations. I would like to get my interest rate back to where it should be - 6-9%. There is no reason to charged the interest they are charging. WE are struggling financially, and have 3 small children. I am actively seeking employment and my husband is trying to hang on to his job.
I am also asking for last late fee of $29.00 to be removed. HRS should have credited my payment on same day received - the 8th of November. They did not. Now, I have another late charge put on my account as of 11-11-02. Thanks!
