I recieved a phone call about a opportunity for get a $2,500 credit card along with a computer and cell phone. I thought it was to good to be true so i turned it down about three or four times. Finally, i said yes to the sales person. They told me what day the money will be taken out of our checking account and that i will recieve my packet in the mall soon. I did recieve the information as promise in a white envelope with a grey folder inside with alot of different type of deals. I had to fill out a confirmation card and send it back to them asap. I did this in may 02.
I didn't recieve anything else after that i have made numerous call to get intouch with someone. It time that i finally did speak to a person they would say that i am on the list and it will be there soon. I started to become worried that i had been scammed. So i went on the internet and what i found out about this company made me really upset. Since then i have recieved a cell phone bill over $100.00 because i didn't realize i was calling canada. Lucky for me the customer service agent felt sorry for me and took the charges off. I will never give my checking or credit card information over the phone again.
To this day, first capital consumers has not refunded me my money. It was $219.00
