Regions bank SUCKS they were charging us $15.00 a month on our "free" checking account. When we asked about the charge they told us it was a charge just to use their services. They were charging us overdraft fees because we used our debit card on a Saturday and my paycheck was deposited on a Friday after 3:00 P.M. Even though it showed in my account on line they said we could not use OUR money until Monday when regular bank hours resumed. When we went to complain they said it is policy and they cannot refund the charges.
We then complained again about the "free" checking and they checked our account and said that we should not have been charged $15.00 a month for the last 3 years, someone in the bank made a mistake. When we asked for refund for the last three years of charges they refunded us for 2 months WOW. We have since closed our account (of 35 years) and asked about the automatic bank drafts we have taken out monthly and they said that they will notify the companies of the closed account.
We were then charged over $600.00 for overdrafts on a closed account even though they did not pay the companies. They said even though the request from the companies were made and not paid they can still charge us. We were also double charged on a ATM withdrawal and they said if we did not have a receipt then there was nothing they could do. How can we have a receipt on something that never happened?
