Recently I have been charged by Wachovia Bank in Charlotte for ($245.00) in NSF fees when my account had funds available.
I contacted Wachovia Bank immediately by e-mail, I received a case ID# and still have not recieved any response by e-mail to this day either by my personal e-mail address or by online customer account contact.
I then called customer service spoke to a representative complained to her about no response from an e-mail that I sent (Online contact-stated a representative will get back with you in 24-hours - I have yet to receive a phone call) she then tried to give me some excuse about purchases pending processing in which she really could not explain their bank error and I requested a supervisor/manager.
I then spoke to the manager and complained about both - no reponse from the e-mail sent and I demanded a explanation for what had happened to my account and that the fees be placed back into my account. He said he would review my account and call me back with a response. He did call back apologized for the lack of response be e-mail - stated that he reviewed my account and he would credit me back 61.00 that the fees were due to pending purchases that had not processed or posted to my account which does not show on Online Banking - I then explained to him that I am the customer and why am I not able to see this information that they are charging me for, and that my account shows funds available and when did this take place unknown to me. What happened to Customer Service? I also informed him this would be escalated to a higher level.
I really think that this bank codes accounts a certain way - and use their own excuse to Rip-off us with unwarranted fees. I guess this really gives meaning to: Their paychecks are brought to them by their customers. This has to be stopped. Maybe this is the backlash for all the bad loans they created in their Sub-prime division-trying to re-coop their money anyway they can-unjustified.
I have NO PROBLEM in joining others in a lawsuit against this bank. We have got to stand together-and get back what never should have been stolen from us and hidden with excuses to justify their means at our exspense.
