Aylmer Financial Group
Ripped me off for 1,030.20 as a "lending service" offering a secure loan

On 02/24 I filled out an application online for a guaranteed business loan for 8,000. I can't remember the site I was on to begin with. On 02/25 I received a voice message from Daniel Mossland with Aylmer Financial Group advising that my loan was approved and requested a call back to discuss terms at 800-963-9161 x423. I called Daniel on 02/26 to discuss terms. Daniel advised that due to my credit rating my loan was initially declined but his company had got me approved through a third party lender. The loan would have to be secured with my first four payments up front equaling $1,008. I requested he fax over the documents for me to review before going forward with the transaction. He faxed the documents right away. The documents confirmed what he had described over the phone. I also tried to research the company through The Better Business Bureau and Dunn & Bradstreet. I called Daniel and requested additional company information as I was a bit skeptical. He directed me to aylmerfg.com. Though I had no luck finding out anything at all about the company, I figured there were not any documented complaints and went ahead with the transaction. On 02/27 I discussed payment options with Daniel Mossland. He advised I could send check or money order and have my loan within a few weeks or I could do a wire transfer and receive the loan within 24 hours. He requested the transfer be sent by moneygram and any fee by moneygram would be credited back to me. He requested I call him when I was about to leave to make the transaction so he could secure my lender and asked that I also call him from my cell phone when I had the money gram transfer form in hand so he could go over the form with me. At the point I had the form in hand and was on the phone with him he advised we make a personal transaction as moneygram will charge me an additional 15% for a business transaction and by the way my lender is also out of canada. The reciever's name was Michael Carl Fulmer, country: Canada City: Ajax State: Ontario. The amount transfered was 1,010.00 as Daniel advised moneygram would suspect 1080 to be a business transaction and put a hold on the money. The total anount with fee was 1030.20 and the reference number is 79196057. After the transfer I discussed further with Daniel about the loan. Would I be able to refinance? Could I pay it off early? After I've developed a good credit standing with the company would I be able to receive an unsecured loan? Daniel advised I would be able to do all of those things and confirmed he would have the loan direct deposited between two of my bank accounts as soon as he confirmed the transfer with moneygram. He advised a payment book would be sent in the mail and my next payment would be due at the end of July. He advised the lender would deposit my loan on 02/27 and it would post to my accounts at midnight. He said he would give me a call later to confirm everything went through ok. I received a call about an hour later from Daniel asking me to verify the reference number a second time. And to also confirm what type of identification I had used with moneygram including my license number and social security number. I asked if there was a problem and he confirmed there was not and that he would contact me later to confirm the loan went through. He also advised not to answer the phone if moneygram called because it would delay the funding process. Daniel never called me back. This morning I called and left a voice message for Daniel requesting my loan status as the money was not in my accounts. Within moments of leaving the message I received a call from Senior Account Manager, Frank Messina, at ext 344 requesting I call him back asap regarding my loan. When I called Frank back he advised my folder had been forwarded to him because of a quality controll issue with Daniel Mossland and that Daniel had misrepresented the company and misled me to beleive my loan was secured with 4 payments at a total of 1,008 when it was supposed to be 8 payments at a total of 2,016. Frank apologised for Daniel's actions and advised the company was taking diciplenary actions. I asked Frank if Iwas being scammed and he said no and that if they were not a legitimate company that we wouldn't even be having this conversation. He said he had tried to get me a smaller loan with the money I had already paid or get me a greater loan amount by 3,000 with the additional required payment and neither could be done. So if I made the additional payment my 8,000 would be deposited and available within 3 hours to my bank because I had already been cleared with the lender and because of the company's screw up they would extend my payment grace period so that I would not have to make another payment until December. I explained to Frank that I do not have another 1,008 and that I wanted my money back right away. Frank advised he would contact my lender and I should have the refund by check within 7 days. I explained that was not acceptable and that I had sent a moneygram wire and that is how I would like my money back. Frank advised the lender would only send a check. I requested he have the check sent overnight. He advised they try not to send checks through fedex because they have to declare the contants and checks have been stolen as a result. He advised he would try to get the lender to expedite the check and to call him back in an hour for status. I called back a few minutes later and pressed 0 for customer service. A man answered and did not give his name. I requested company credentials as I was concerned about a transaction I had made with the company. The man knew who I was right away and advised Frank had contacted the lender and I would have a refund by check within 3 business days. I asked how he knew my information immediately without looking anything up and he said he had overheared my conversation with Frank. He also advised after I receive my check if I would like to make further transactions with the company I should just go through Frank directly as he is a Senior Account Manager and does not work on a comission basis as Daniel Mossland does. I asked what bank the check was drawn from and he said Aylmer Financial Group uses Bank of America, but my check will come directly from the canadian lender and it will be drawn from a Canadian bank and that he did not know what bank it was, and I could call the bank to verify the funds if I felt it was needed before depositing the check. I called and left a voice mesage for Frank an hour later with request for his reply and he has not called back yet. The last call I made was at 11am this morning. I did not find any information about this company until this afternoon when I was filing a complaint with the BBB. They also go by a multiple of other names with locations all over Colorado. I am a sucker.
