Collection Notice/threat to report me to Major Credit Bureaus for an Account I never had!

I received a threatening collection notice at my post office box for a debt I had never heard of.
I have lived in Europe for over a decade and recently returned back to the US. Supposedly I had an account with Sprint Communications.
During my time abroad, I constantly checked my credit reports to ensure that no one used my information and yet CBCS claims that I must pay them $100 for a debt I never had.
