The debit card will decline for larger purchases such as gas stations, auto repairs, and medical ER bill if you have insuficient funds to cover it. Yet, the debit card will work every time when the transaction is less then $10.00 so that Chase can generate even more revenue from NSF's on the debit card. They also wait 5 -10 days before they will notify a customer they are overdrawn by the debit card.
