We have had a Macy's card for as long as we have been married (24 years). Today we noticed a charge for $99.99 for a service called hotline. The business number is 800-826-1342. We called macy's and they were not helpful. They said we needed to call the business. We called may times with no answer. The Macy's person (we wonder if his name and employee number are correct) said Macy's sold our (private) account information to a third party who automatically billed us for the $99.99 charge. Is Macy's hard up for money that they have to sell our information for fraud so they can stay in business? We are not experienced with dealing with fraud. If you have any information on how to get the charges removed, please let us know.
