Complaint / Review
Ocwen Federal Bank FSB
Ripoff

I was asked if I would be interested in a free 30-day trial period filfullment package from the Preferred Home Network. After the 30-day trial period I could cancelle at no charge to me. If I did not cancelle by the 30 days. The charge would be billed additionally with my mortage payment.

I never received the free filfullment package, so I called to see what happen to my free fulfullment package. Ocwen Federal Bank said, "They did not see where I had agreed for these services, therefor would not be charged. It was suggested that I call Perferred Home Network and cancelle these services.

I called this Network, told them I never recieved this package. The Perferred Home Network said, "They were sorry and would send me a free filfullment package. I told them to please cancelle this service and do not send me a free 30-day trail package.

I was no longer interested. Many months later I see a $10.00 charge on my mortage payment. I call to see what this charge is for. Ocwen 's response was: this is the charge the services rendered from Preferred Home Network. My resonse was I told you (Ocwen) and the Prefererred Home Network I was not interested. Ocwen Federal Bank refused to take my mortage payment unless I paid this charge.

If I did not add this additional payment of Ten dollars, I would be consider Late on my mortage payment and would be charged a late fee of $15.00. I sent the additional $10.00 to Ocwen and called the Preferred Home Network again, and complained. I recently received a letter from the Preferred Home Network company, telling me they feel they should not refund my money.

Additional problems with Ocwen Federal Bank FSB
There has been other problems with Ocwen Federal Bank's collections such as a mistake was made when I made my mortage payment over the phone and the wrong account number was mistakely written down wrong. My payment was not taken out of my account at the bank.

I received a letter on the first that my payment was not recieved for last month and I had 30 days to pay this account up to date and inculd my present payment for this month or I would be charged an additional amount of $95.00, so they could start forclosuer.

They started the 30 days from the time of the last payment until I got the letter. I got the letter the day of the 30 days was up. They charged me the $95.00. I called to see what this charge was for, because I had sent the first mortage payment, the addiontal amount of $250.00, I had been sending toward my principal, plus the present mortage payment with an additional payment of $250.00, that was to go toward my principal. They refused to take off this $95.00.

I was enraged! This is when I was told I was not a good customer because I had paid my mortage on time, along wirh extra money for that year. I was on the phone with this company for days. I finally had to go to the top to get relief. I did receive a refund of the $95.00, I think. I am not really sure because my statement were very messed up and confusing.

At this point I stop sending extra money to this company. I feel this company is very incompeindent. I hate to deal with this company. My goal is to sell this house or pay off my loan as soon as possible, so I can be rid of this stress of dealing with these rude and comfortational employees.
