Capital One
Took my payment out of the wrong bank account and will not credit the nsf fees i recieved

I have been having issues with Capitol One since September, first I got my Sept bill at the end of Aug, and I made the payment the same day for my Sept bill, when it became due on Sept. 22, I was charged a late fee, I then called and the fees were credited to my account.

My husband lost his job and I called in Sept. And asked if I could skip the October payment, the CSR that I spoke with said yes that would be fine, so when my October bill became due I was charged another late fee and an over the limit fee, I called again and explained the situation and I was told that they couldnt skip a payment because it was my husband and not myself that had lost the job, they credited it anyway due to the CSR who had told me that would be possible.

So I then called my payment protection and they made a payment for me for my October bill in November, I then made my Nov, payment on Nov 2nd, and when that became due I was charged another late fee. I called and they said that, that payment was applied to the October bill and that I would need to make another payment for Nov. She said that they would credit the account but that it would be the last time. Which is ridiculous since Capital One is who is making the mistakes.

Now I scheduled my Dec payment to come out on Dec 17th because I did not want to be too early and charged another late fee, that now could not be credited. I printed a confirmation letter (thank god) because I asked that it come out of a Bank of America account and it was withdrawn from my Credit Union account which at this time I am not using.

I was then charged NSF fees from the credit union because I do not have funds in that account, I called this morning and after waiting for 31 minutes on hold I spoke with Caroline and she said that they would not be able to credit my bank that they would only credit my capital one card.

I was told to fax my confirmation letter to there payment investigations dept and that it would be handled accordingly. I just cant belive that they can take the money out of the wrong account and they will not put the NSF fees I have accrued back into that account. So be careful that when you choose an account for your payment to come out of that it actually comes out of that account.
