My mortgage was sold to Everhome Mortgage Company this previous summer. The transition was strange and I noticed right away that their payment processing was extremely slow. It is not uncommon for a web payment to take over a week to process.
As a result, I stopped checking my bank statements to see if the payments had gone through. That was a huge mistake. The October payment that I submitted via the web never went through although their web site indicated that it was processing. I resubmitted the payment immediately as soon as I became aware of the error. Although I resubmitted the payment well before my next mortgage due date, Everhome still reported the payment on my credit report as 30 days past due.
I have spoken with representatives from the company multiple times and explained the processing error. I have tried to email the screenshot of the web payment page I kept for my records but they will not accept it because "Everhome does not use email." They have refused to correct my credit report and I don't know what can be done to rectify the situation. Please contact me with any suggestions that you have.
