I, too, am a victim of the Wells Fargo overdraft fee ripoff! They got me with their POS practices. I didn't know that POS purchases could be processed any damn time the bank feels like processing them. I made some purchases over the weekend and also made a deposit at the same time but the bank (if you can call them that) withdrew the purchases PLUS overdraft charges BEFORE they credited the deposit, all on the same day! I went to the bank and was for one thing, treated rudely and for another told conflicting stories. The POS I made was AFTER 6pm on 12/07 and I made the deposit on 12/08 AM. At first the manager (???) told me that POS are processed at midnight then basically said they could do it at any time. So, I asked him how an ordinary person was supposed to know when the processing would occur. No answer! I do not have access to the bank system so I rely on online banking at home which is a joke. Transactions "appear" then "disappear" and "pending" over the weekend and then when you get to the bank on Monday, everything is okay again! The system doesn't seem to allow overdraft fees to appear and disappear or show them as pending! What can we do to fight back to Wells Fargo and regain some of our money?
P.S. Wouldn't midnight on 12/07 be 12/8 then?
