I have been totally screwed by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. They bought out my mortgage from Ohio Savings Bank (which was a great company) the beginning of 2007 and I have had nothing but problems since. The customer service is horrible and they treat you like crap laying on the ground. I mailed 2 mortgage payments and they said they did not recieve them, plus my current month which I hadn't mailed to them. I have been talking with them and my bank every week to see if the checks have been recieved and cleared, which they still have not. I was told by a wells fargo rep that I was in no danger of forclosure until december 1. I told the man I was speaking with that if the checks had not cleared by the week of thanksgiving that I would pay all 3 mortgage payments over the phone; they charge a 20.00 fee to pay if I do not mail it to them.
On Nov. 15, without notice, they put me into forclosure and now I am stuck paying an extra 2000.00 to get my mortgage back. I had the money to pay them the mortgage payments and they refused me and were so ignorant on the phone. Every time I speak with someone from there I get a different answer. We live pay check to paycheck and cannot afford to put out the extra money to pay to get my mortgage back.
So now I have to go deeper into debt to borrow the money when I already had the money to pay them the payments. This is so ridiculous that my family is being screwed so badly when we are honest people just trying to survive. I have 2 small kids and have to keep a roof over their heads and my husband is killing himself working 2 jobs to keep us afloat. I don't understand why the reps cannot tell people when trouble is about to come. I could've paid the week before and this would not have happened if the reps were trained correctly. They obviously have no idea what they are doing, and people wonder why the country is going down hill. Most people cannot afford to make double mortgage payments. I would've got a bigger house if I had that much money!
For all those other people dealing with wells fargo I feel for you and hope that we can all come together and force them to stop doing this to people. We should just be able to live our lives instead of being screwed!!
