Capital Fairbanks is a rip off, dishonest company who is trying to take our home. They said that we were 4 payments behind and if we agreed to a foreberance agreement that they would not foreclose on us and we would not have to go to court.
We had to give them $2960.00 to stop foreclosure.
We did that with a wire transfer with our bank on Aug. 30th 02 and on Sept 6th, 02 we received a note on our door for us to call Fairbanks immediately. On Sept 7th, 02 we received a letter in the mail from fairbanks that they never received our $2960.00 on August 30th.
I tried to call my contact person to find out what was going on.
She said there was a computer glich and that they did receive the money and that foreclosre has been stopped. I asked for a copy of a receipt stating that they did receive it, and that we would like a proper statement with the correct dates on it.
The one they just sent us is from June 02.
She (Mendi Leisure ext. 36357) hung up on me and now everytime I call I get her voice mail and she doesnt return my phone calls.
We now are going to get an attorney to sue these con artists.
There is a class action lawsuit going on against these people, people all over the country are having problems with them.
Is there no stopping this company? They are screwing over innocent people and there hasnt been anything anyone can do so far.
Please write all your information down and send it to your states attorney generals office and file your complaint, dont be afraid of these people. There is someone out there to help us, but we we all need to join together to make a difference.
