Is suing a person with the same first name and different last name and social security number they served a summons to the wrong person

I was served a summons for a person with the same first name as me but different last name and social security number. I explain i am not the person they are looking for so i go to court to file a appearance. The clerk ask me do i know the person named on the summons, i tell him no and he wrote on the paper aka my name and address so i wait for the judge to waive the fees and i finally get a court date.

I went to court explained that they served the wrong person i evev show my identification card and social security card. I went in front of the judge the clerk explained that i am not the person they are looking for so the judge entered the information i recieved the document for the case.

I think this is over and yesturday the sheriff show up at my door about the same case i explain that iam not the person they are looking for he left the papers on my porch and said not to worry. I live in chicago illinois i dont know how the laws apply in my state. Lastly on the last summons the amount plus court cost was 1030.56. And on the summons i got yesturday the amount was 1056.30.
