I've seen a lot of posts on this company, and I've seen some advice on how to get your money back and I wish I would have gone here first, prior to giving any information to this bank.
The NMB Platinum offer sounds credible but look out.
When they debit your account, they use an ACH transaction to do so. Why? Well, when they use this method your bank no longer has the option of disputing the charge. It's treated just like a check is treated. The bank can place a stop payment on future checks (ACH Withdrawals) but can't go back and get your money from the original transaction. It's just like cash to them. So NMB has gone and advanced their techniques for gaining access to your account and to your money.
I know, I had my account debited twice. For 2 different amounts. I am currently calling NMB (a few times now) and trying to get my money back but they continue to tell me to go to my bank and dispute it. This obviously doesn't work and they should know this. So, they give you inaccurate information. This is only a stall tactic so they can keep you thinking something is going to happen.
I am going to keep trying to go back to the source (NMB) and get my money back but I don't have much faith. I'll post back in the next few weeks and let you know my progress.
So far I am very upset at myself for falling for this scam and now I'm out money. $299.99! Should have known better.
My advice would be to steer clear unless you have money to throw away.
