High Pressure Scam-Don't Fall For It

I was contacted via my cell phone while driving on a busy highway by what sounded like a young girl offering me a credit card with a $2000 limit. With driving, the break up of the cell phone, and the girl's quiet voice, I was not able to fully understand what the terms were. She then transferred me to an "account specialist" named Kim Martinez. Ms. Martinez again made me the offer, and kept repeadedtly asking me "Do you agree, do you agree" over and over. I explained that I was driving, I was on my cell, and wasn't quite sure that I understood. All I really heard was about a credit card with a $2000 credit limit. And even though I told both of them that I was driving on a busy highway and talking on my cell phone, they both asked for my bank routing and acct. Number, which I foolishly (and with difficulty) gave.

Kim Martinez told me they would be electronically withdrawing $200, just as a good faith measure from my checking account, to make sure my checking acct
was good, but assured me that I would be given vouchers which I could then put back into my checking acct. She kept repeating "do you understand" "do you understand"? This call came in on my cell phone from ph no. 408-731-7348

As Kim Martinez was rattling off all this info, I asked her to call me back on my cell phone and leave a message with the cust svc no. And my "confirmation numer, which she did. As soon as I came home, I realized how stupid I was, and immediately call the 866 no. The rep who answered didn't identify themself, I had to ask for the name, and was very short and rude. Her answer when I said I wanted to cancel was that my info was "in process" and she couldn't access or cancel anything at this time, and that I had to wait until Friday (this was Tuesday when I called.) She told me all she could do was to delay the stealing (my words) of my $200 until Sept. 20. I then found this site, and was really nervous, so I again called the 866 no, again the girl who answered did not identify herself, and was very short with me and rude. I pried for her name, she said it was Stephanie.

Again, I said I read about this company on the complaint, and her reply was "Everyone is on that report, even McDonalds." She was aware that her own company was on this report. I again told her that I wanted to cancel, and was it true that if I cancel, there is a $35 fee, even though I never got any credit card, never used any of their "services"-which to date, no one has clarified. Beware-they haven't taken any money yet, but I am going to my bank to see if they can stop payment or block any incoming debits from this company. I say we file a class action lawsuit. These people are nothing but scam artists. And, they are going against the law-in Michigan, at least, you have like 3 days to cancel any contract. They make you wait past that so you loose that loophole. I'm up for filing a class action lawsuit.
