Credit Card Services Accuses Victims of Fraud of Lying! Ripoff Orlando

While reviewing my credit card statement from Bank of America, I was horrified to see two complete pages of charges that I did not make. I phoned customer service and was transferred to the fraud department representative named Judy Tamplin. The minute I got on the phone the representative was on the offensive regarding my claim. She asked if anyone had access to my cards and I said no. I mentioned that I spoke to my husband about it and he knew nothing about it. She countered with a snide "why would you talk to your husband about it?" Because he is my husband and I was just robbed for thousands of dollars? She then proceeded to tell me that all the charges are in my neighborhood. Ok... And? She said it was my "normal spending pattern". First of all there was oer 500 dollars to gamestop. Why would a 42 year old woman be buying video games? Second of all, the other things were fast food and charges for gas stations. They would be hard pressed to find one charge for either of these things in my past spending if they review the account. One I do not purchase fast food, which she would have seen if she actually LOOKED at my "spending pattern" and I do not put gas on a credit card but pay with my debit. There was one charge that was mine and that was an automatic replenishment of my epass toll payment as the BoA card is the one I registered with. When I told her this she didn't seem to understand how one charge in the middle of the month would be mine while the rest were not. I tried to make her understand but she had her little mind made up.

I called because I did not make the charges. I did not call to get out of paying my bills and I didn't appreciate MsTamplin's accusations or her tone which is what I told her. I want these charges removed and investigated, I stated. I followed up with a letter that I sent certified mail.

Today I received a letter dated the very day I called saying my claim was not "approved". Well, isn't that nice? My user agreement states I am not responsible for fraudulent charges. I am telling the company they are fraudulent and rather than investigating, getting receipts or surveillance tapes or whatever that department does in these instances, she just shot off a letter because she decided I was lying. She decided. Based on what I don't know. I intend to wait for my certified letter to be answered which had a complaint against Ms. Tamplin along with the rest of the story. I hope the conversation was being recorded so her supervisor can pull it and dismiss this woman as she obviously doesn't know how to treat a good customer. I have never been late on my bills and my credit is excellent. To be accused of trying to get out of my bills by some customer service representative is the most horrible customer service I have ever received. I have no intention of paying these bills and hope to get some satisfaction eventually from the company before I have to go further with this to protect my credit.
