Premium Mrga Saver, And Capital First
Liars misleading

I have been in credit hell, at one time i had a-1 credit,

But due to circumstances beyond my control, i have had to

File bankruptcy etc, and as a result i am at the mercy of

Telemarketers constantly calling and offering credit card

Programs that offer a fresh start. Ive gotten a couple of

Good ones. But one that almost hooked me was capital 1st.

They called and basically said that i could get a master

Card through them with a credit limit of 2500 dollars.

They talk fast and not very clear. They make sure that

You hear all the good points about what theyre selling,

But any thing that is a bit shady goes right by you, and

Being hard of hearing doesnt help. Anyway i was led to

Believe that if i authorized a 39.95 charge from my

Checking acct i would recirve my credit card, and the

Other fees totalling aprox 160.00 would come off of my

2500 dollar avail credit. Boy i thought it was great,

Until about a month later i noticed a debit on my

Checking account for the 160.00,

The next dayi recieved my pachage from capital 1st (no

Credit card) of course. Bot inside was a letter saying i

Had a 10 day trial, during which time i could call a

Number provided and cancel the whole thing with no charge

Other than the initial 39.95 (keep in mind the debit had

Already showed up on my account)

Anyway i called the number provided and asked them about

It. The lady on the phone told me they hadnt recieved pmnt

Yet, i immediatly told her to cancek the package. I

Called my and paid 30.00 to put a stop pmnt on the

Transaction. The bank says they cant guarantee the stop

Pmnt because it was already in the process. Luckily it

Worked. So i'm out 70.00 due to capital 1st, i chalked

It up to a lesson learned.

About a month later i find another charge of 54.90 on my

Account. Two days or so after recieving a premium mega

Saver long distance phone card in the mail. The letter

With the card says that i authorized this debit from my

Acct. It was part of the capital 1st package. Well i

Call the 800 no on the card which gives another 800 no to

Call.

Anyway i finally get to talk to a customer rep who tells

Me that they cant cancel the card because my 10 day trial

Is over!!! I argued with the guy (a mr torres), he

Tells me to wait 7-10 days for my check to clear then

Call back, and the accnt would be cancelled. So i waited

Against my better judgement, but i didnt want to incurr

Another stop pmnt fee.

I called back, explained my situation to a guy named

Hans, he puts me on hold for a few minutes. Comes back

To the phone and says, everythings ok, the acct has been

Cancelled, i ask when i can expect my refubd and he

Says, oh, we cant give you a refund. (by the way, the

54.90 debit caused another check to bounce, which cost me

A 25.00 fee. Well now i go to the bank and fill out a

Disputed charge form. The nice guy explains that the fee

For this is 26.00, with no guarantee. Suggest i call

Them back and try to reason with them. Lol.

Anyway i dont know what i can do about this other than

Write it off as a lesson learned, but i live from

Paycheck to paycheck, and i am out 160.00 between the two

Ripoffs. That would have paid this months cable and phone

Bill.

So if there is anyone out there who has any ideas about

How to get our money back, im listening yo my knowledge

The only amount i ever authorized was the initial 39.99

Charge. Anthing other than that was not authorized. So i

Now have a paid for but cvancelled long distance card

Which i never wanted, needed, and is probably not worth

The paper its printed on!!!
