I had an account with captial one that was sent too Rubin & Rothman. I agreed to pay Rubin & Rothman every month and was doing so on time. The agreement was for six months on the fifth month I called my bank to see if my direct deposit had went through and found out that my bank account was frozen. Then I called Rubin and Rothman and spoke to the individual who was handling my case (I forgot his name at this point however I did write it done) He was extremely rude. He asked me did I have enough in my account to pay the entire balance (He tried to go to the original amount that was owed and not acknowledge the payments that I had been making the previous five months) so I told him NO. I did not feel that I should pay the entire balance because I had lowered it already. He said to me "don't get mad because your broke." So I told him I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I told the supervisor that the individual was very rude and that I had all my receipts for all the payments that I had made. He told me to fax them over and he'll see what he could do. I called back about 30 minutes later to see which month (s) they claim I was missing. I spoke to someone else because the first man that I spoke to refused to answer my phone call. This woman said to me that even if I fax over the proof they would not release my account so I went to court. They even sent a stipulation to the court to ask the judge not to release my account I got it release and they deducted the money that I had already paid. I would like to know who and how do I file a complaint because during the time my account was frozen I fell behind on all my bills because I had my bills paid through my bank account. I also incurred many other bills like returned checks. Does anyone know how I can go about filing a complaint for the harrassment, rudeness, and extra money spent.
