This institution has turned its back upon me. I deposited a bad check by mistake, and now they have canceled my account, charged me overdraft fees even though I never withdrew the funds, and will not let me bank at their institution. This is a serious hardship for me and my family, freezing my funds, leaving without means to pay my bills, and unable to receive cash from my family in a distant state. I am a victim of a scam and now I'm being victimized by this financial institution. I have done nothing wrong, yet I have been treated like a criminal by their associates. I have no way of knowing whether my clients have good checks or not. I have a bank to discern whether or not these checks are genuine. Their associates have been nothing but rude to me and offer no assistance even though I am their customer. How can they justify these actions against me? I'm a full time artist and educator, I'm not rich but I still should be respected. Their associates have no right to treat me in this manner.
I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General of the State of New Mexico and based upon their assessment will seek legal consul for undue hardship, defamation of character, and unjustified fees charged to me. All they had to do to resolve this dispute is: Reinstate my account, Credit me for these unjustified fees, and a proper apology. If I do not get this I will pursue further action and I will not go away.
