Creditors Interchange
Apparently this company does not have to follow privacy laws

The company Creditors Interchange is a very dishonest, unlawful and extremely rude company. I recently had to deal with them on a fraudelent credit card matter and they did nothing to help assist me or even give me names of people that could help. I am 22 years old and until now, have had very good credit.

My parents called and told me that they had something they needed to speak to me about and told me to come home. When i did they told me that a girl named Mary had called them from Creditors Interchange and explained to my PARENTS that i had outstanding debt and that they were going to put a judgement out against me for it.
They THOUROUGHLY explained the debt in detail including what my credit score was and what this would do to my credit score. They also told my PARENTS that if the debt was not paid that by the next morning that I would be going to jail and would have my wages garnished and all kinds of good stuff.

At the end of the conversation with my PARENTS, she asked them to pay my debt for me so that my credit could be saved. While my PARENTS are telling me all about my debt, I was thinking what are these people talking about.

So the girl that I had heard of as "Mary" called me the next day and told me all about it and when I asked about why she had called my PARENTS to discuss the matter, she explained to me that she had tried to get in touch with me and was unsuccessful. She read me the address and number that she had, which was the person who had committed the fraudelent act against me, and I started to explain the card in question was one that I had canceled and never even used.

She cut me off saying that she has spoken with me regarding this matter and that I was fully aware of the situation. I then explained to her that i knew the address and the person who lived there and that it was not me that she had been speaking to.

After a few hours of her harrassingly calling my work every ten minutes to find out when her company would be paid, I started to get upset and told her that what she was doing was breaking many privacy laws and I asked to speak to her manager. She "transfers" me to her manager "Sarah" only for me to find out that it was the same person but a different name. This person started telling me about the people that had committed fraud against me have horrible credit and that I should just pay the debt to get it out of my name to save my credit score.

I'm not going to bore with all the details of what happened in the next couple of days because it is just to repetitive but the ending result was that the company was to send me out all the proof I needed to file a police report for fraud and that I would recieve the info in six weeks.

So I have been waiting for this information for going on six weeks now, nothing ever came and today I got a call from this company again demanding that I make a payment to save my credit.

I asked her about the information and she told me that I would have to go to the credit card company for that (which the credit card company told me that I would have to go through the collection agency and remember "mary" and "Sarah" both explained to me the info would be at my house in six weeks.). She then explained to me that the last note on the account was that xxxxx was going to pay my account off for me. I told her that not only is that note wrong but that it was a fraudelent check that should be taken out of my name.

She told me my mother was the one who said she was going to pay the debt and then I tried to explain to her again that my family nor I would not pay for debt that I did not accrue. She then cut me off, said have a nice day and hung up on me.

So I called my credit card company and said that this matter needed to be resolved because my credit should not suffer due to negligence of a company. All I read about is how credit card companies are 100% against fraud and will not hold you liable, well don't believe them because that is why I am here, right now, writing this report.

If anyone has information on what I can do regarding this matter, please let me know. I know that what these people did to me breaks many privacy laws, and I have documentation of phone calls and records from the person who actually committed the fraud against me stating her guilt. So please, if you have any information that would help I will be extremely grateful!
