Tried advertising with this business. Paid $600 on a Monday for 30 days of advertising. Advertising would have been run of the site for a large banner, small text ad, and ad in the newsletter distribution. I was told that the advertising would begin the afternoon I paid. After checking the site Tuesday morning, I noticed my ads were not running.
I called The Mortgage Wire and told them the ads weren't running, they apologized and said they would be up by 3:00 that afternoon. Tuesday came and went, and Wednesday came and went. It is now Thursday and my ads aren't up and running.
I called them to request a refund, and I did it calmly and professionally. The guy "The Owner" just blew up like an immature psychotic 13 yr. Old on Ritalin. Vigorously spewing profanities at me nonstop. It was the most unprofessional display I haveever witnessed.
I paid them through G*gle checkout and let the guy know that I requested a refund through them. He went on antagonizing me, saying "Request your refund all you want, I will put your ad up right now and when they see it they won't do sh*t" (By the way he still hasn't run my ads)
He continued with the yelling and profanities, MF'ing me left and right saying "You're one of those whiney SOB's who doesn't get what they want right then, and then throws a fit." I replied "Who's throwing the fit? I'm sorry, but if you tell me you're going to provide a service for me at a certain time, I expect it to be done. Much less three days later. Had you told me it would be Thursday or Friday there wouldn't be a problem."
He then went on to brag that he's the owner of www.TheMortgageWire.com and he's not refunding me sh*t. I asked... Is this how you conduct business? His professional reply was " I'll show you how I conduct business" and slammed down the phone on me." So my ads still aren't up and I am out $600.00
If you are a mortgage professional and you are looking for advertising, I would stear clear of the guys at www.TheMortgageWire.com, it's a fraud, they stole my money and ripped me off. Also they are liars.
After investigating a little more, half the stuff he told me is a lie. They claim to have 40,000 mortgage brokers for their newsletter distribution, yet their forum has less than 150 members. Also he claimed on the phone while selling me the advertising that he had just over 1,000 people on his website at that exact time. I went to Alexa.com and their traffic is less than stellar.
Point is, do your homework before paying your money to a company online.
