I had ordered an appraisal for a potential customer of mine for a mortgage. I had requested a value for the home to come in at. The appraiser ignored my request and proceeded with the order. After speaking with the owner about the low value, he told me that there was nothing he could do about it. Being in the professional banking business for years, it has been a courtesy for appraisers to tell mortgage brokers if values don't look like they will come in for what is needed. The action taken by George and his staff was inconsiderate and made the homeowner's mortgage impossible to refinance. It is this type of behavior that makes mortgage brokers not want to do business with him.
