Ripoff Debit of My Checking Account for a " No Interest $2500 credit limit" Mastercard fraudulent rip-off business

I was contacted on July 24, by a person calling himself Alex Marshall, who claimed to be a sales representative for Capital First Mastercard. Mr. Marshall gave me a "rep number" (8794580 assuring me that if I ever have questions about Capital First, I could call him at 866-892-6018, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Mr. Marshall insisted that for $29.95, and no other charges from my checking account, I would be issued a zero % interest MasterCard. A man with a heavy accent (Pakistan? India?), Mr. Marshall claimed that my bank would telephone me before deducting the $29.95 from my checking account — so did the so-called 'verification' supervisor who came on to check my info. Of course that didn't happen. Marshall was annoyingly persistent. He, the verification supervisor, and the woman who 'processed' the information all assured me that I would only pay $29.95 for the card and that I would have seven days to cancel the account via the telphone number I was given. They kept assuring me that I could speak to Mr. Marshall at any time by giving his rep number.

Both the verification supervisor and the processing department female gave me a customer service tracking number — 10529172. A few days after the checking account deduction, I telephoned the number given and asked to speak to Mr. Marshall, giving his rep #. The man who answered — he sounded African-American — claimed that the rep could not be contacted through this number as the number was only a customer service number to answer any questions I had about the new credit card. However, he could not answer any of my questions, only saying, "All that information will be in your introductory packet which you will receive in 1-2 weeks. You will receive your permanent credit card in 2-4 weeks." I insisted on speaking with his supervisor telling this man that I had been supremely mislead by the sales rep. He put me on hold, came back, asked me for my phone number after muttering something to the effect that they were doing me a favor (suggesting it was highly unusual) by taking my information; and that they would have someone call me. No one has called.

I am reporting them to the FTC, Consumer Credit Fraud, and all over organizations as they are nothing but a ripoff.
