Ripoff being charged fees for there mistakes lying to me ruining my credit history

I am writing about how National City Bank of Erie, Pa ripped me off and ruined my credit history and made my insurence rates double.

Lets start with the begining of my relationship with National City (Please keep in mind somethings i say in this first statement are minor annoyances, leading up to the big ripoff)

First, i open my account with National City, i am very happy, i am going to recieve 20,000 points, a high interest checking account and select savings because i am doing direct deposit with them, well they also inform me that i can overdraft into my savings at no extra charge (Bethany Lawson, the bank manager is the one opening my account and telling me this)

Well everything seems to be going good, when i use my debit card it takes 2-3 days for it to debit, so by mistake i used funds that i thought i had, long story short i overdrafted, i look at my account the next day and there is a $10 overdraft fee, i was confused since she earlier told me that there would be no charge

Of course when i called, Bethany Lawson informed me that she told me there was a $10 fee, o well i was mad but all banks screw you out of your money some how, some more creative than others

Well, here comes the next step to disaster, i called up National City to request a block on any EFT withdrawls from my account, because Nationwide INS Co. Was trying to take my money even after i cancelled and i owed them nothing (that will be on a different report) the teller informed me that it would be no problem, he would enter a code into the computer to stop any EFT withdrawals and that i could call up and get it removed at any time with no problem.

Well, about three weeks later, i called National city to ask them to remove the code, they said it would be no problem, i expained to them to make sure that it was gone because i expect my insurence company (Progressive) and my credit card company (HSBC) to withdrawal next week (April 8th)

Then the next day i went to my branch to withdrawal all my savings because i was going on a trip to texas, the teller told me there would be a $30 fee for withdrawling before my account has been active for 6 months, i said fine whatever, then i went over to Bethany Lawsons Desk (Bank Manager) and asked her to double check again that my account could be withdrawaled from via EFT, should said everything was fine and dandy

I also expained how important it was that she make sure because i was going out of state, once again she said everything was fine.

Sooo, i left PA, around april 10th i get a E-Mail from HSBC (my credit card company) that my EFT has been rejected and i now have a late payment fee ($40) and a returned check fee ($40).

Of course i get another email the same day from progressive, that my EFT has been rejected and now i have a $25 returned check fee and my rates are being rasied due to a late payment.

I was PISSED. I called National City and asked to speak to Bethany Lawson, i explained the situation, that i was out of state and both companys got rejected, i told her my companys stated that if she write a letter saying it was bank error, everything would be corrected, she told me NO

It was not a bank error, nothing in her computer showed a block on my account, she suggested that both companys had computer problems.

I explained to her that both companys said they checked there computers and the reason for the rejection was that my account was frozen

She said she would send a letter stating that nothing was wrong with my account and i had the funds (but not admiting the bank is at fault).

Well as of this date 4/26/07 the letters have done nothing and i still owe HSBC $80 in fees and my insurence due is $100 more a month than it was, o well im just the little guy right, i guess ill pay

O and heres the kicker, i checked my account today online and i got $10 in gas yesterday because i had $11 in my account, well they just posted a wire transfer fee of $11 from a wire transfer that took place a month ago, now i am going to have a $40 overdraft fee that i will refuse to pay which will also go on my credit report

LOL, im still not done, i forgot to mention i lost my 20,000 points for a reason im not even gonna waste my time to explain

Just remember, any bank only screws you out of your money to help:-)
