Afin sent me a collection request on a verizon phone bill from 1995. I followed the advice from several consumer complaints individuals and wrote not 1 but 2 letters. I had also checked my credit and learned it was near perfect. NO negatives with and overall score of 750!!!
After sending both my letters to Afni (scumbags) I received a letter today stateing " This letter is to verify that we have filed a request with the credit bureaus to DELETE the account listed above from your credit report." Funny it wasnt on my credit report to begin with but I never told them that. Victory for me.
