Watch Out for Optima Funding Inc., Cory (broker) and Tim (manager) were very nice, sent me a good faith estimate and called me to review all the info and explained it to me. Then Cory said the way there company worked I would have to pay for the home appraisal and then he would send me a seperate check after escrow. It didn't seem right, several friends told me that some loan companies do it that way. So I had it done.
Then the notary came to me with the loan contract and it was $8,000.00 higher than the estimate. The manager Tim was very smooth —watch out for him, he can sell anyone anything. I ended up not signing it and never got the appraisal. So im out $450.00 and some time. I reported them to the Credit Card Co. For fraud and they said this happens all the time.
In closing please be careful and stay away from Optima Funding.
