My family & I have had the same insurance policy from 1970 to 2006. But whenever a claim was turned in they would threaten us with cancellation or just not pay out, telling us that, this & that was not covered, in their terms, when it was covered.
Although, they were more than happy to take our money for 36 years. Of which, the total of premiums over that period, was considerably way more than anything that they were ever asked to pay.
My roof was the last claim that was turned in, due to a tornado & severe storm, that passed through my area, damaging the roof & interior drywall & plaster damage. I was then cancelled because the, "House was too old". As they told me.
They insured the house, when it was old, and kept renewing the policies. It seems that it was insurable, as long as they were receiving my money. Nothing was ever a problem, unless a claim was turned in.
What is the sense of having insurance, if you are just throwing your money away to Big Rip-off Companies like this?
