I like everyOne else had this palisades collection come into my life. They bought a providan acct which they attached to me. For $2,000 owed..[even though this acct shows a limit of $1000 allowed]..in 2004.. Started calling and demanding money without explantion or verfication. That this was mine. Rude and wouldnt answer any questions. I disputed by letter asap. And finally got them to stop for a while. I came home one day and found a action by them in my mailbox. They were suing me for $2,000.. I called them asap. And got a so called lawyer on the phone. And told him its not me etc. I sent a letter to them telling them i dispute this..[as per what the court told me to do].. Nerver heard anything else TILL 2006..'2 yrs later'.. A summons attached to my door. Now the $ was more. And i had to appear in court. Which i did. A fast talking forster and garbus rep lawyer from framingham conn. Showed up and told the judge i owed over $3000.. And that no mediation would work. So i asked for a jury trial. Which this forster and garbus guy tried to fight..[i figured i had a better chance with a jury]... The judge granted a trial by jury but it would be FOR 7 months. Well. On the 6 month i get another letter from forster and garbus in the mail and they have filed a motion to have the case heard PRIOR to trial by jury date. I sent in a rebuttal letter to the judge. And on jan 3rd. 1 day prior to the trail by jury date. I get told when i call the court house to confirm the time for trial that the motion was granted [i1 day to trial] to palisades collection BECAUSE. I didnt send my rebuttal in AFFALIDATE form. The judgement was granted for over $3780.. I never got a word in. And my request for a jury trail was blown away. I asked for a copy and the court said that forster and garbus would send and contact me. Isnt that the chicken watching the chicken coop. So they took theyr' sweet time in sending the paperwork. When i got it. It looked like the writting was tampered with. I called the court for the orig copy and yes they had added on end..'AND ANY FUNDS AS DEEMED'.. I am appealing even thought the time was cut off due to waiting for all these papers. I am taking all these papers and all the palisades collections complaints on this site and bbb of nj. And my own rip off. To the new governor office in albany. He has sued many of the same scammers as atty general. AND I KNOW THIS WILL BE LOOKED AT...
I have hired an attny now. And will pursue this aggressively. I am suing them personally and in their postion. Esp joeanne @ palisades legal dept. For her lying affidate. If anyone has had forster and garbus from conn do their bidding against you plmk!!!
