My Ex husband and I purchaced a mobile home through Oakwood in 2002.8 months later it was repossesed. I just found out that our county tax collector had been charging us property taxes on this home since 2003. I called them and they told me I needed to show them repossesion papers in order to get the property out of my name. I called our local Oakwood Dealer and they gave me the number to Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance. I spoke with a lady and although she was not rude she informed me that even though the home was repossed and resold, I still had to pay the $22,668.41 loan. So let me get this straight. They sold the home and then i still have to pay for the home too??? So they get $40,000 for this home? What kind of crap is that. She was very pushy and wanted to set up a payment plan for this loan. Do they not know what Repossesion means. I quit making the payments, they took the home back. Then they sold it which payed for the home. We need legal action on these people bad. Has anyone else had this similar problem with this company?
