This is a complaint of false advertising against HSBC bank. I had an issue about a receipt/Purchase mad on a HSBC bank credit card. I took Best Buy receipt to my locak HSBC bank to show them that the so called return policy that BEST BUY lied about was not on the back of my reciept. The person at my local branch agreed with me. She tried to go into my account to look at the ststus of it. She could not acces my account that was from the bank (Have three different addresses / locations for them) so I don't know which one my account is even realy with. She said there was nothing she could do. I have gotten letters and they signed me up for some hospital insurance that I did not ask for.
HSBC bank uses, "HSBC Bank the worlds local bank" You even see and hear this on TV commercials, It's printed on letters and on the Insurance the signed me up for. This would mean if I wanted to make a payment or access my account that I should beable to do it from any HSBC bank. Since I could not have my local HSBC bank access my account at this bank in Nevad, (One location given to me) This use of "The worlds local bank" is a lie and false advertising. I tried to make calls to HSBC bank and got the runaround, When I finally did reach a person who could some what answer my question as what "The worlds local bank" was supposed to mean, He said it just means there are HSBC banks oll over the world. This is Usless if you can't access your account from one bank or another.
I did a search for HSBC bank in the internet and came up with a corporate office in NY City, But they refuse porvided a phone number or address. Also did a search for HSBC Bank in Neveda, But no HSBC banks exist in Neveva or any other city listed on my bill or letters from them.
I was turnd over to collection agency by the bank. They wanted to settle for a reduced amount of money. Printed on the letter is "HSBC BANK NEVADA NA and is also printed on the insurance they signed me up for (With out my permission). I called the insurance co. And the collection agency, No one could or would provide an address for this bank in Nevada.
This HSBC bank in Nevada is not even in the same state that did the billing for Best Buy under the name of HSBC RETAIL SERVICES. But the all USE the term HSBC bank "The worlds local bank" which is a lie and you can't access yoyr account from your home towmn bank.
Since I could not have my local HSBC bank access my account or even be able to prove to the bank in NEVADA or HSBC Retail services that Best Buy lied about the return policy NOT being printed on the back of my reciept, They are responsable for not investagating my complaint properly when I put it in dispute. My Local bank could not access my acount or connect the these other banks at all.
Since HSBC bank in lying about the being the so called "worlds local bank" they should refind the money I paid to the Collecton agency and gp After Best buy.
I am seeking a refund of $ 2186.53 amount paid to this bank.
